Vacation, Day 1

Left for Odessa. Michael was already bored on 360 and played a little game with his pillow. Shirley fixed sandwiches for the kids and Charles. The drive to Odessa should take about 5 hours and we didn't want the guys to have to drive for longer than 6 hours at a stretch. The guys were a little pumped about the trip, so they decided to go ahead and drive to Carlsbad. We had a flat around 11:00pm. One of the inside back tires. Fortunately, there was a 24 hour tire store across the street. Unfortunately, there was an accident on the highway and DPS summoned the tow truck (and tire guy) from the tire store away. We didn't get it fixed until 1:00am. We arrived at the RV park in Carlsbad around 2:30am. The guys got out to hook up the electrical and plumbing and such. The sewage blew all over Charles. He had taken it in for repairs and they had left the switch open.

Shannon was kind enough to let me borrow the first 3 books in the Stephanie Plum series. I left them in my car. We didn't take my car on the trip.

Sugar handled the ride pretty well, but Kimie didn't know what to think. And she did not like the dog run at the first RV place.
